Harry McEnerny V is an award-winning actor based in New York. Harry has had the pleasure of bringing a lot of great characters to life in his career. Some of his favorites include Brian in Avenue Q at the Lyric Stage Company of Boston, which was nominated for several IRNE awards, and Lennie in Of Mice and Men, for which he received an Elliot Norton Award nomination for Best Actor. Last year, Harry played Joey in the international tour of the hit musical Sister Act. And currently, he is cruising the Caribbean with Disney Cruise Line playing the role of the Genie in Aladdin. Harry has performed all around the world including countries like China, Japan, and Korea to name a few!
Harry holds an MFA in Acting from the University of Houston, and a BA in Theater and Film from the University of Vermont. His areas of expertise include jazz trombone, improv comedy, emergency medical care, and stage combat. He is a certified Actor Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors. Harry continues to grow as an actor constantly, taking classes in New York regularly. He is currently studying regularly with Tony Greco.
Harry is also a graduate of the training center at Improv Asylum, and a former member of their House Teams. He is a founding member of Project:Project -- a Boston based theatre group that focuses on devised work in non-traditional theatre spaces.
One of the things Harry is most proud of is that he has also been portrayed onstage! On the day of the Boston Marathon bombing, Harry was working as a technician in the Emergency Room at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Harry’s story of his experience that day, along with thirteen other people involved in the community response to the tragedy were the subjects of the acclaimed play Finish Line at Boston’s Shubert Theater.
